Full Throttle Boat Charters located in Rye Harbour is a picturesque port on the Sussex Kent border. Full Throttle Boat Charters is based.  Rye was chosen because of easy of use of the slipway and the uncrowded waters of Rye Bay. We run trips for half an hour through to trips to Boulogne in France for the day.

Our Base

Rye Harbour is in a great position for getting to Boulogne in France by RIB charter or power boat ride. Boulogne is only 35 miles away making trips across the channel for some shopping or lunch very easy.  Rye is very accessible from London by car or rail, with the new High speed 1 trains taking 1/2 an hour from London to Ashford then its a 20 min hop to rye on the local train. We can also get right into the centre of Rye at the Strand Quay to pick you up for your charter.

Tidal Range

Rye has a tidal range of up to 7m. When on large spring tides there is no water left in the harbour at low tide. Likewise when on massive spring tides the water comes up to the Bosuns Bite Cafe. Have a look at Rye Harbour tide times to see when you can catch a big one.

New for this year we offering a 1 hour Seal Safari boat trip from Rye Harbour to Fairlight. We can take up to 9 passengers. It’s £37pp or £310 to book the whole boat. We can run these trips through the winter please contact us for Availability.  This trip is a high speed boat ride 8 miles up the coast.  It can be rough so it’s not suitable for the elderly.  

The Seal safari boat Trip

The trip takes 20 mins each way from Rye Harbour and covers 8 miles each way. Once we arrive at Seal bay you get 20 mins bobbing around amongst the seals. Suitable for ages 6 and upwards. If you want bring younger children you need to book the whole boat. The maximum age is 70.  These trips are not suitable for the elderly or frail.   The Seals come quite close to the boat ideal for some superb photos. This trip combines the exhilaration of a twin engine RIB boat trip with a wildlife tour.
