Christmas in Rye and the now famous http://www.christmasinrye.co.uk/ started in 2015

Christmas in Rye is magical time. A time for planting memories in young minds and revisiting places held with fond affection with a loved one.

Christmas in Rye 2015 was based on a theme inspired by Charles Dickens, “Great Expectations”. The entire month saw our lovely medieval town transformed to delight all visitors. On 12th of December Santa was ensconced in his grotto which children and parents alike all enjoyed.

Christmas 2016 was set around the theme Tales of Old, inspired by the writings of Hans Christian Anderson and Brothers Grimm.

Christmas in Rye 2017 was set to the theme of Toyland and inspired by old vintage classic toys, marionettes, puppetry and play.

Our near neighbour and fellow Cinque Ports town of Tenterden is equally magical. Visiting Tenterden when in the area it’s a lovely interesting place to visit for the day.
