The Strand Rye

The Strand is where you will find the Heritage Centre with the Town model of Rye, this huge work of art is to scale and shows a model of the town based upon what it would have looked like 400 years ago, after watching the 20 minute show you will be ready to walk around Rye like an expert.

Near to the Heritage Centre you will see Tambika an interesting little shop offering unusual and popular artefacts, many antique shops are scattered amongst restaurants such as Simply Italian which is a popular venue for families and the younger generation. Carey’s offers a good selection of fresh sea food and the Ship can be relied upon for local Ales and good food.

Bringing your dog to Rye then The Ship inn is dog friendly, where you are welcome to take people friendly dogs. Food is served in The Ship Inn which is next door to the very popular Simply Italian. Both have outdoor eating space.
