This week always sees an increase in visitor numbers so well done to those who booked their accommodation early. Don’t tell the scallops but they are also available before and after the dates of the event.

Rye in the Winter is a delight with live music in many if the lovely small pubs and wine bars for example at The Grapevine where the locals will always make you feel welcome.

With the Rye Christmas festival by now little more than pleasant memories. Rye high street still retains the character and charm of a medieval town. Sea food has always featured well in our restaurants and especially so at this time of year.

We are grateful to Domain Support Ltd for their continued efforts over the past 19 years to promote the Scallop Week and many other beneficial activities such as the Rye Map which is the essential guide to Rye.
