Christmas in Rye 2016 was amazing fantastic feedback and 2017 is going to be even better

The theme for 2016 was TALES OF OLD…. giving heaps of potential for activities, performance, procession and all-round fun! Think Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm.

Huge thanks to Claire Fletcher from Made In Hastings for donating this year’s illustrations!

There will be many many ways for you to get involved and help make this year even bigger than last year. The new website will be live by the end of the summer, have a good one!

Love ‘Team Christmas in Rye’

Christmas in Rye and the now famous http://www.christmasinrye.co.uk/ started in 2015

Christmas in Rye 2015

Christmas in Rye is magical time. A time for planting memories in young minds and revisiting places held with fond affection with a loved one.

Christmas in Rye 2015 was based on a theme inspired by Charles Dickens, “Great Expectations”. The entire month saw our lovely medieval town transformed to delight all visitors. On 12th of December Santa was ensconced in his grotto which children and parents alike all enjoyed.

Christmas 2016 is going to be even better as the organisation for in started in January 2015.

Our near neighbour and fellow Cinque Ports town of Tenterden is equally magical. Visiting Tenterden when in the area it;s a lovely interesting place to visit for the day.

We have various sponsors of the event who have either generously given money. The largest donors are shown below and we are grateful for their eager kindness in the true spirit of Christmas past.
