The Cockerel Café & Bakery is a beautiful community-focused café, bakery and restaurant based in the heart of Peasmarsh in East Sussex. We are the ideal venue for friends, family, work colleagues, and coffee mornings to meet, enjoy good food and drinks in a lovely setting.
We offer customers dine-in and takeaway breakfast, lunch and cream teas, served Tuesday to Saturday from 9am – 3pm, and Sunday 9am – 4pm. We are closed on Mondays.
Join us for breakfast between 8am and 12pm, where we serve a range of hearty English breakfasts, breakfast sandwiches, light bites, pastries and croissants as well as a selection of barista style coffee’s and Tea’s. You are welcome to dine in our lovely refurbished restaurant or order and take-away.
From 12pm – 2.30pm, we serve a comprehensive lunch menu from Scampi & Chips, Burgers and Ham & Eggs to Jacket Potatoes, Paninis’, Soup and Sandwiches. We also cater for children and those with smaller appetites. We have seating inside for 60 and a lovely outdoor patio for when the sun is shining. We tend to get busy, so recommend you reserve a table for lunch during the week and on Saturdays.
We’re just a stones throw from Rye and Camber Sands, as well as the neighbouring villages of Beckley and Northiam.
