Wag N Bone Dog Training

I have always been around and loved dogs, since the age of 3 or 4 years I have not been without at least one in my home. I currently have the pleasure of living with 2 lovely dogs, Guinness, a twelve-year-old Blue Merle Border Collie and Ella, a 5-year-old German Shepherd.

Over the years I have attended classes with my dogs in many, different disciplines. By using elements of these disciplines ranging from Heel Work to Music to Rally, Agility, Trick Training or even Bitework, I can make learning obedience fun, interesting and effective for dogs and their owners.

I am a qualified as a UK Sniffer Dog Instructor for Bronze and Silver Levels.

I began learning dog training instruction by assisting as an agility instructor, before completing and passing the Agility Club of Great Britain’s training and assessments to become a registered ACAI.

Clients had previously loved the positive, fun agility classes that I ran in Tenterden and frequently asked if I would teach obedience classes. This spurred me on to set up, just once a week initially and when the opportunity arose, I attended college at The Sussex Canine Centre under Canine Behaviourist Dean Hart. Here I gained recognised NOCN qualifications (Ofqual Regulated) in Animal Learning Theory, Canine Behaviour and Dog Training Instruction.

Since then I have continued with my CPD, regularly attending seminars and workshops to ensure that I keep up to date with the latest methods in canine training and behaviour with National and Internationally recognised trainers and behaviourists including Dr Grisha Stewart, Dr Ian Dunbar, David Ryan, Steve Mann and Nando Brown, The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and The School of Canine Science to name a few.

I am committed to ethical training and am a full member of The Pet Professionals Guild and uphold their ethics regarding scientific and force free training of dogs.
