The Rye Society of Artists

The RSA 65th Annual Summer Exhibition will be held during August at the Dance Hall, Community Centre, Conduit Hill, Rye.

Since it’s beginnings the Society’s membership has always consisted of professional artists of a high calibre. This still remains the case today with the membership including two Royal Academicians, Fred Cuming and Gus Cummins. Other artists of note include Richard Adams, Louis Turpin, the graphic artist and filmmaker Dave McKean and printmaker Brenda Hartill.

Rye Society of Artists will include a mix of paintings, photographs, original etchings and drawings with Royal Academicians hanging next to local artists submitting their work for the first time. There is always a wide range of ceramics from domestic ware to decorative pieces and a variety of sculptural works.
The RSA’s Summer Exhibition remains a show not to be missed.
