The Black Lion can be found in the historic village of Appledore, which can trace is history back to Viking times back when it was a busy port.
The pub is famous for its Sunday Roast.
Previously called the Red Lion, this popular establishment can be dated back to the early 1800’s. Appledore is also the inspirational village for A A Mill’s famous poem
